fucking love her.
DEAR TUMBLR FRIENDS,
I am writing an essay about the representation of non-binary gender.
If you have any thoughts that you think would be important to include (especially DMAB folks, since I cannot fully comprehend that subject position as a DFAB person), please please please drop me a line and let me know.
There is a serious lack of discussion of non-binary gender in academia, and if this paper goes well, I would like to pursue getting it published. However, I need input from others so that I can communicate a variety of experiences of non-binary folks that are different than mine.
Please signal boost. <3:)

TW: rape, violence, self harm, trauma, PTSD
This body was a site of violence.
It’s not the kind of thing
You can just decide you’re
It is attached to the vibration
Between every part
Of every cell.
It’s still inside me.
He is still inside me.
And I’ve been trying for years-
To calm that vibration,
To scrub it away
To try to get clean again
And every time,
The attempt to calm
And to clean
Brings new shit to the surface.
I am still raw-
In a perpetually new
Five years have passed
Since the last time
19 years have passed
Since the first time
And I’m still here
To be calm
I wouldn’t be me
If this hadn’t happened
I wouldn’t be me
If I hadn’t worked through
It will not ruin me
Now, or ever.
It is my process

hello friends!!! we would like to invite you over to engage in a community discussion / workshop on accountability!! hosted by the lovely Lyss.
This community discussion will focus on the topic of accountability. How does violence permeate our communities, and our lives? How do we address it? What does it mean to be accountable? How useful are transformative justice models? How can we begin to be accountable to ourselves and our communities? And most importantly, how can we better support survivors of abuse in our lives?
Please join us at THCH on Friday, October 4 to participate (or sit back and listen) in this discussion with the intention to move towards a survivor-centred, support-based model of accountability that functions through autonomy, community, and an ethic of care. May we work towards ending violence and abuse one step at a time.
There will be a resource list available, and if anyone would like to recommend an addition to such a list, or if anyone would like to request any specific discussion topics or make requests regarding safety, please contact Lyss here!
